Kathy was recently voted runner-up in the SPA Traveller Awards 2011 as UK Top Spa Therapist. Ayurveda ‘the science of life’ and Yoga share a common goal-to enhance the well-being of body, mind and soul. It is said Yoga is for the mind and Ayurveda for the body. Ayurveda uses diet, lifestyle, massage and herbs along with yoga postures, pranayama and meditation as part of a complete holistic healing system.

The E.I.V.S course is designed by Dr David Frawley and Atreya Smith two of the leading Western authorities on Ayurveda. She has also completed a Clinical Internship with Dr Alaknanda Rao B.A.M.S and Dr Deepa Kshire B.A.M.S at the Panini Clinic, Pune, India. She is an associate member of the Ayurvedic Practioners Association.
What is Ayurvedic Treatment?
Ayurveda is a healing system that originated in India thousands of years ago. The word “Ayurveda” is made up of two Sanskrit words ‘Ayur’ that means ’life’ and ‘Veda’ that means ‘science’ or ‘knowledge’ of life. Apart from being a healing system it also provides guidance regarding our diets and our lifestyles that helps in keeping us healthy and in balance in our every day lives.
